Centering Prayer is a way of cultivating a deeper relationship with God. These two days will teach the basic guidelines. Films of Centering Prayer movement founder, Thomas Keating, will supplement the presentations. Beginners welcome.
Retreat leadership will be shared between Brother Roy Parker, Brother of the Order of Holy Cross, a Centering Prayer practioner for over twenty years and Sr. Suzanne Dunn, a Co-Chair of Contemplative Outreach, Ventura/Santa Barbara Chapter.
The Centering Prayer practice taught in this day is supported by twice weekly Centering Prayer meditations at La Casa on Tuesdays, from 10:30 to 11:30 am and Wednesdays, from 6 to 7 pm.
As well, monthly half-day retreats are held. In 2010, the next three dates are - February 6, March 6 and April 3.
